It goes without saying that time spent with family, the making of new shared memories, deepening connection, silly stories shared, exposure to languages and cultures, are the huge benefits of world travel. But, let’s be honest, when you’re in Italy and Spain, the food becomes the real star of the show!
We ate and drank at some of the very best restaurants in Italy & Spain, thanks Condé Nast and Travel + Leisure, and they did not disappoint. I’ve got to say that eating traditional Roman comfort food was a bit rough in 100 degree/80% humidity weather, but you do it, for love of the food.
It truly is a slow, enjoyable dining experience. It’s more than the food. It’s the incredible people watching. It’s the random musician walking by and playing. It’s the long stem roses, the multi-cable chargers, the light up flying toys, the hats, the fans, all being offered table side. It’s sitting in a town square or down a side narrow alley at 10 pm and feeling the buzz and the energy of everyone around you enjoying life, living La dolce vita!

We enjoyed every meal, cocktail, and gelato. Oh yah, and Gus and Wyatt loved their chicken wings and mini calzones @ the McD in Milan! Joe and I enjoyed our chicken Parmesan sandwiches, when in Italy . . . lol

We came, we saw, we conquered the food scene, and we loved every minute on this most recent Traveling Anderzoo adventure!
