Hey everybody, Gus here. I’ve had some thoughts about how these past two weeks have been and I wanted to share them with you.
Coronavirus | March 13, 2020
I feel devastated about the coronavirus. It has impacted so many things and so many people. The worst part is that California has the third most cases in the U.S.A. Now my school is closed, which means I have to be homeschooled and I don’t get to see my friends. This also means that the Commissioners had to suspend the leagues, the NBA and the MLB seasons have been pushed back by two weeks. Two people are in my prayers, Rudy Gobert, and Donovan Mitchell, two All-Stars this year, caught this virus which might make the NBA suspended even longer. These stories go on and on all over the world. I will pray for all the people around the world who have this virus. This is a really devastating part of life.
Week Two of Homeschool | March 27, 2020
This is the second week of homeschooling! It is one of the worst things that has happened for a while. This is a story I will tell my kids and my grandkids. I feel like this is the only thing people are talking about. People don’t realize that life isn’t over, and to think about the positive. I heard this quote from a T.V. show a few days ago,
You’re not thankful for life until it goes away.
This is scary, but is also a great way for families to come together and enjoy themselves. I know this sounds like hearts and rainbows, but the reason you may think that is because you haven’t thought about the positives or just the rest of your life. I miss my sports, my friends, and my family. I know I will appreciate them even more when this is over. Just thank God that we have such a privileged life. Stay healthy!
